The FDA approved enlicitide (LIPFENDRA®) on 16 July 2026 — the first oral PCSK9 inhibitor ever approved. A macrocyclic peptide delivering ~57% LDL-C reduction on top of statin therapy, with a notable ~28% Lp(a) reduction as a secondary finding. EMA submission confirmed spring 2026.
